Broadus is the Founder of the Trans People of Color Coalition (TPOCC),
and became the first transgender person ever to testify before the US
Senate when he spoke in support of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act
(ENDA) in June 2012. Kylar has a background in finance but was forced
out of his field when he transitioned. A transgender advocate, lawyer
and former law professor at Lincoln University of Missouri, Kylar has
worked with the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and the National
Black Justice Coalition on matters of public policy and transgender
civil rights.

She has been on the forefront of transforming how providers think about and practice person-centered care while raising awareness about the existence of LGBT+ older adults in general, and in long-term communities specifically. In addition to the MHFOA board, Rabbi Erica serves on the executive board of the Board of Rabbis of Greater Philadelphia. Rabbi Erica is a member of the HRC and SAGE’s Long-term Care Index (LEI) Advisory Council; the interdisciplinary Preference Based Living team; the William Way Advisory Council; and is an investigator in a research project with Penn State College of Nursing faculty. Rabbi Erica chairs the MHFOA programming committee.

Thomas P. Callahan
The Mary's House for Older Adults (MHFOA) Family is heart broken in the passing of our own, Thomas P. Callahan, colleague and friend who died on Thursday, June 24, suddenly in the presence of his life partner, and other family members. Tom became a member of the Board of Directors in October of 2016. He served as the Secretary and Chaired the Development and Public Relations Committees. He was a true servant leader with a generous spirit. Tom was the champagne spirit on our Board, tickling our souls with his charm, wit, expertise. He had the ability to engender among us feelings of delight in seeing the possibilities. We are at a loss and are trying to process this new reality.
