Richard DeCarlo

Dr. Richard DeCarlo Member Dr. DeCarlo is a native Washingtonian who loves beauty!  This love thrust him into the professional arena of Cosmetology.  He has been a member of the National Beauty Culturist League for 53 years and a member on the State and Local levels for 53 years.

Dr. DeCarlo's love of beauty lead him in the pursuit of instructing others in the field.  He is a graduate of the prestigious McKinley High School and Calvinade Beauty Academy.  His expectations for higher education lead to the University of the District of Columbia, The University of Miami, the Vidal Sasson School - London, The Institute of Superieur Des Techniques De La Coiffure and the L'Oreal De Paris, both of which are located in Paris, France.  He has also earned three degrees from the National Institute of Cosmetology, (BA, MA and a Doctorate).

For Dr. DeCarlo, beauty is his business and passion.  For 40 years he has been a member of the Sigma Nu Theta Fraternity.  His tenure as Dean of Pledges lasted 24 years.  He was also the 1st Vice President for four years and humbly served as president for eight years.  He has also served as the past president of the Alpha Chapter, Washington DC for 16 years.
