A Message from our CEO
Post-Election November 2016
The knowledge of the new President-elect has some of us celebrating and many of us in shock and grief. And as an organization that serves elders, people of color and LGBTQ/SGL communities we acknowledge the national anxiety and uncertainty of this new reality. However, we will continue to be true to our mission to provide safe and affordable environments for elders including those who are LGBTQ/SGL through local and national advocacy and the building communal housing. We will continue to work with aging, LGBTQ/SGL, intergenerational, women, and people of color communities to make housing and other issues impacting elders, LGBTQ/SGL in particular are visible.
Be assured that Mary House for Older Adults will continue to create safe spaces. We will continue the work every day to allow every elder “to bring his/her/their/ze whole self” with them as they age.
