As an editor and proofreader, she mends broken sentences, shine up mediocre copy, and make sure everything works. She is especially skilled at ferreting out and fixing language that is just a little bit off, whatever the cause (for example, if English is not your first language, or if you're writing a period work and a modern turn of phrase sneaks in). She firmly believes that every draft can be improved, and everyone could use a beta reader.
